When coping becomes exhausting

You may look in control while feeling anything but

High-performing people often become very good at pushing through. You solve problems, support other people and keep meeting expectations, even when the pressure is affecting your sleep, relationships, confidence or ability to think clearly.

From the outside, you may still appear productive and dependable. Privately, you may feel constantly alert, unable to rest or worried that slowing down will cause everything to fall apart.

This does not mean you are weak or incapable. It can mean that the way you have learned to handle pressure is no longer working for you.

More than feeling busy

How burnout and overwhelm can affect your life

The pressure rarely stays contained within the working day. It can begin to influence how you think, communicate and respond to the people around you.

At work

You may procrastinate, lose confidence in decisions, struggle to prioritise or feel anxious about tasks you would normally handle.

At home

You may feel distant, impatient or unable to be fully present, even when you want to enjoy time with the people who matter.

Within yourself

You may feel guilty for struggling, frustrated that you cannot simply switch off, or unsure of who you are without the pressure.

Why does it keep happening?

Understanding the pattern behind the pressure

You may already know that you need better boundaries, more rest or less responsibility. The difficulty is that knowing what to do does not always change the automatic response.

Part of you may still believe that you must keep going, avoid disappointing people, stay in control or prove that you can cope. Those patterns can continue even when they are affecting your health, work and relationships.

The aim of our work is not simply to tell you to relax. It is to help you understand why your mind keeps returning to the same response and create more choice over what happens next.

You do not need another person telling you to slow down. You need to understand what makes slowing down feel so difficult.

A personalised approach

How hypnotherapy and Mind Mentoring can help

We do not rely on one technique or a standard script. The process is shaped around what is happening for you and what you want to change.

1

Understand what is happening

We begin with a straightforward conversation about the pressure you are experiencing, what keeps happening and how it is affecting your life and work.

2

Work with the automatic response

Hypnotherapy creates a focused environment in which we can work with the habits, beliefs and reactions that are difficult to change through logic or willpower alone.

3

Create a practical way forward

Mind Mentoring helps you apply what you have understood, make clearer choices and develop ways of responding that work in your real life.

Feel calm and in control

What could become possible?

The aim is not to remove every responsibility or ensure that you never experience pressure again.

It is to help you understand your response to pressure, recognise what needs to change and regain a clearer sense of control over how you live and work.

  • Switch off without feeling guilty.
  • Respond rather than constantly react.
  • Make decisions with greater clarity.
  • Set boundaries without feeling that you have failed.
  • Feel more present at work and at home.
  • Recognise pressure before it becomes overwhelming.

Who I work with

Support for capable people carrying too much

The people I work with are often professionals, founders, business owners and leaders who appear capable and composed, but privately feel exhausted by the amount they are carrying.

They are not looking for another label or generic advice. They want to understand why the pressure keeps building and find a way forward that fits how their mind works.

Common questions

Considering hypnotherapy for burnout or overwhelm?

Do I need to have been diagnosed with burnout?

No. You do not need a diagnosis to talk about feeling overwhelmed, unable to switch off or affected by sustained pressure. The clarity call helps us understand what you are experiencing and whether my approach is appropriate.

Will hypnotherapy make me lose control?

No. You remain aware of what is happening, can hear what is being said and can speak, move or stop at any point. Hypnotherapy is a collaborative process.

How many sessions will I need?

That depends on what is happening, how long it has been affecting you and what you want to achieve. We will discuss the most suitable approach honestly before you commit to anything.

Can sessions take place online?

Yes. Sessions are available online across the UK and in person in Shrewsbury. Online sessions require a private, comfortable space and a reliable internet connection.

Is this a replacement for medical support?

No. Hypnotherapy and Mind Mentoring do not replace medical assessment, prescribed treatment or urgent mental-health support. Where appropriate, you may be advised to speak with your GP or another qualified healthcare professional.
